Passport Required Documents In Pakistan
For Ages 18 & Above
- Original Bank Paid Fee Challan (receipt) of prescribed fee or e-Payment Confirmation Detail (SMS/Email along with PSID No.)
- Original Valid CNIC/NICOP with a photocopy.
- Previous Passport in original with its photocopy (if issued).
- NOC in case of a Government Servant.
- Foreign Passport, along with its photocopy, for Dual-Nationals only.
- Lost passport Police report, mentioning previous passport number (only in lost passport cases).
For age under 18 / Minor
- Original Bank Paid Fee Challan (receipt) of prescribed fee or e-Payment Confirmation Detail (SMS/Email along with PSID No.)
- Original Children Registration Certificate(CRC/Form”B”) or FRC or Smart Card with its one photocopy.
- Copies of valid CNICs of both Parents.
- The Minor will be accompanied by either his/her parent or a legal guardian appointed by a court of law, along with the original valid CNIC/NICOP of the parent/guardian.
- Foreign Passport, along with its photocopy, for Dual Nationals only.
- In case either of the parents is deceased, his/her Death Certificate is in original and photocopy.
- In case parents are separated/divorced, a Court of Law grants custody papers.
- In the case of a guardian, a guardianship certificate is issued by a court of law. The appointed Guardian will visit the Passport Office with the minor and his/her original CNIC and photocopy.
- Lost passport Police report mentioning previous passport number (only in lost passport case).
How to Apply for Passport in Pakistan
The process of obtaining a Machine Readable Passport (MRP) in Pakistan involves several steps that must be followed at Regional Passport Offices and Pakistan Missions abroad.
Fees Payment:
The applicant must acquire the Original Bank Challan receipt or e-Payment Confirmation Detail (SMS/Email with PSID No.) by paying the prescribed passport fee.
Step 1:
Upon arrival at the Regional Passport Office (RPO), the applicant will proceed to the Customer Service Counter, where the fee will be verified, a photograph will be captured, and a token will be issued. The next step involves capturing biometrics/fingerprints, followed by data entry. Once all the information has been entered, the applicant’s information will be verified against office records, such as the Exclusionary Control List (ECL) and Blacklist (BL).
Step 3:
If everything checks out, the applicant will be called in for an interview with the Assistant Director, who will decide on the passport issuance.
Step 4:
Finally, once the passport is ready, the applicant will be notified and can collect it at the designated delivery counter.
