The Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metrobus is a 22.5 km Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) that connects the city to Islamabad. The transport network was inaugurated on 4 June 2015, and connects the Pak Secretariat in Islamabad to Saddar. It’s second stage links the Peshawar Morr Interchange with the New Islamabad International Airport. The transport system is managed by the Punjab Mass Transit Authority and uses e-ticketing and ‘Intelligent Transportation System wand’.
