This house is designed & constructed under the supervision of renowned architect mansoor Nabi. Its the most energy efficient & practical house in town because the project is designed & constructed by keeping the harsh temperature of summers & winters in mind. We will go into the details of techniques used to keep the house cool in summers & warm in winters. There is a small basement in the house. In the basement theres a guest bedroom & servant quarter with separate entrance from the back of the house. Ground floor features two bedrooms with attach baths, drawing dining kitchen & lounge. On the first floor there are three bedrooms with attach baths, kitchen, store, study room & a big lounge. On the roof theres mumty & a sunroom with large windows, designed to maximize natural light & offer views of the beautiful margalls hills. Theres a rooftop deck with option to establish outdoor kitchen & bar etc. Techniques Used For Energy Efficiency in Building As its mentioned earlier its the most energy efficient house in town. A number of techniques have been to keep the house energy efficient e.g. Cavity Walls Insulation: A cavity wall is a type of wall that has an airspace between the outer face and the inner, usually structural, construction & the airspace between the outer face & inner face is filled with insulation material normally foam. In this house we have used 2 inch thick Diamond Jumbolon Board in the cavity between the inner & outer walls of the structure. Roof Insulation: To keep the rooftop cool in summers & warm in winters on a 2 inch layer of soil a 2 inch thick Diamond Jumbolon Board has been installed on the top of concrete slab. UPVC Windows With Double Glazed Glass: In this house best quality UPVC windows with double glazed tempered glass is used. uPVC windows with double-glazed glass offer superior insulation and energy efficiency compared to single-glazed uPVC windows. Double glazing involves two panes of glass separated by a gap, often filled with a gas like argon, which further improves insulation. This design helps reduce heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer, potentially leading to lower energy bills and a more comfortable home environment. Final Note: This house hasnt been built for selling purposes but built by the owner for personal use so attention to detail has been given to everything without compromising on the quality.
