The amount of tax owed is based on several factors, including the phone&#8217;s value and whether or not it has been registered with the PTA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exact calculation of the PTA tax on a mobile phone in Pakistan is determined by the following formula for mobile phones with a value in USD above 200:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tax = (Device Price * Tax Rate) + (Customs Duty * (1 + Sales Tax Rate))<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Where the device price is the phone&#8217;s value, Tax Rate is the rate of tax specified by the PTA, which can range from 0% to 100% depending on the device and its age. Customs Duty is a set amount levied on all imported devices.
